Gran Habano Azteca Fuerte Double Maduro Torpedo.
Azteca Torpedo, all dressed up and ready for the ball. Brass Knuckle Cutter was given to me by Matt Booth, Room 101 Cigars.
Ready for a semi-formal, this torpedo has got to be one of the best dressed cigars I have seen. The construction is impressive, and it's heavy in the hand. There is not one, but two San Andres maduro wrappers; one being used as the wrapper and one for the binder. The blend? Cuban-seed long-fillers from Panama and Nicaragua.
An inch and a half in and still brimming with flavor
The flavor? Medium to full-bodied with hints of coffee, pepper, and a sweet, creamy finish. As compared to the other medium to full flavored cigars in the Gran Habano line, it has that staple Gran Habano flavor, but simply more creamy. This stick is on Tony Blake's top 10 list (Tony is one of the premier cigar bloggers in the country), and after smoking one I now know why.
